Plastic Good or Bad

Plastic is Bad.

Most plastic are bad because oil is a limited resource.

Pieces of plastic in the ocean are harmful to animals.  birds can mistake them for food.

  

Plastic that can not be recycled goes into landfill. Many plastic items end up in the rivers

and oceans.

some plastics take thousands of years to break down when they do chemicals can leak out of the landfill site if the area has not been properly prepared.

Sea creatures can become caught up in plastic nets plastic bags as well.

I am learning to make a poster saying plastic is bad.

I am so proud of making my own poster.

It can be tricky to find interesting words to your poster.

My buddy can help me by finding interesting words.

the next step in my learning is to a bigger poster than before.

My Peace Poem

I am learning to write a Poem about Peace One Day using my senses.

I am so proud of being able to describe what Peace feels like, tastes like and sounds like.

It can be tricky to find descriptive and interesting words to use in my sentences.

My buddy can help me by giving me some ideas.

The next step for me in my learning is to write another Peace Poem.

ANZAC Landings

                                   The Taste of Hell

It’s 2:45 am on the 25th of April 1915. I’m so hot. I’m sweating like a waterfall we are very close to shore. My friend and I are at the best place at the back of the landing boat. I’m really pumped but scared at the same time.

We're getting closer and closer to  shore. I don’t know what's going to happen. I can’t see anything. It’s pitch black as the moon dipped behind the clouds. Suddenly we all hear a big BOOM!!!! I saw soldiers diving off the landing boat were land on the shore my legs were shaking like a earthquake.

I don’t know what’s going to happen now…….

Peace One Day

As part of  our Inquiry work on Peaceful Communities we have been  learning about World Peace Day  on September 21st. On Friday 19th September we held a Taster Shared Lunch with Rooms  19 and 22.   We  had to bring in a small sample of a food that we might eat at home as a family favourite for example or a food from their culture.

15 divided by 5=3

There are 12 long haired girls in the class.
